Baptiste Viry studied fashion design at the l’Ecole de la Chambre Syndicate de la Couture Parisienne and graduated in 2006. Moving swiftly up the fashion ladder, within that year he found himself working at Hermes and soon after launching his first women’s ready-to-wear collection under his name. He has won numerous awards for his design capabilities and just this year introduced jewelry and hats as accoutrement’s to his apparel collection. His SS09 collection offers waistcoats, hats, and of course, jewelry. You can see inspiration taken from haberdashery and equestrian elements. Waistcoats look like the inner workings of a fine tailored suit, layered and look as though they are “turned inside out” but perfect and polished. The jewelry collection offers wrist sized belts, belted straw fedoras and necklaces (some that can double as belts) and bracelets made of eyeglass frames, belt buckles and man sized rings. A perfectly presented collection.
