I started watching the Ali G show about four years ago. It started out as a 1/2 hour show with Sacha Baron Cohen playing various characters – Ali G, Borat and Bruno. The success of each character is based on the people he’s interacting with not knowing he’s in “character.” After his cover is blown on one character, he moves onto the next. First he made the Ali G movie, and then he went on to make Borat. Now that Borat is no longer a mystery, he’s moved on to Bruno. Bruno is Sacha Baron Cohen’s “fashion correspondent” character. It seems “Bruno” has been spotted wreaking havoc from runway shows to political protests getting footage for his new film, Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner in a Mesh T-Shirt. It seems like Bruno has gotten a bit of a makeover from the original Bruno (mohawk and leather), but that may be all part of the “disguise.” All I know is that I love boys that can make me laugh, and I can’t wait for Bruno to hit movie theaters.
