M.I.S.S. Michelle’s Beauty Picks & Tips of the Week: Basic Beauty Gets Tricked Out – By Sephora’s New Tricks-of-the-Trade Line

This week’s picks are part of Sephora’s new Tricks-of-the-Trade line, which are really great since these products work extremely well and are fairly inexpensive. By creating their own products and using simple packaging, the Sephora brand eliminates much of the middleman, and is able to keep production costs relatively low, resulting in a very reasonable price point for us, the consumer; huge factors to take into consideration, especially in our current state of economic strife. The following picks are my favorites from the line, and will help you get the most out of your basic beauty routine, whether it’s on the natural side, or if it’s done with a bit of bling.

PICK 1: Sephora Brand “Tricks-of-the-Trade” Immediate Wrinkle Filler

This make-up primer/filler is AWESOME. Apply after you moisturize (you only need a very small amount), before your foundation. It basically fills in any skin flaws, without clogging your pores, and your foundation or powder will just glide on right over it.

TIP: For those that don’t like the idea of constantly dipping your fingers into the same pot of make-up, use a cotton swab or make-up spatula and put the amount you will need on the back of your hand, then apply to the face.

PICK 2: Sephora Brand “Tricks-of-the-Trade” Eyeliner Last

Sephora’s Eyeliner Last does exactly what its name says: It makes your eyeliner last. This product is a thin, weightless liquid you apply with a tiny brush OVER your eyeliner making it last an additional 4-5 hours more than if you had just applied the eyeliner alone. There used to be a product on the market about 10 years ago that was meant to do the same thing, but you just ended up with a sticky layer of goop on top of where your makeup was, so it’s no surprise the company has since discontinued it. If you are someone who wears make-up to the gym or when playing sports, you definitely won’t want to miss out on this product. I use it when I’m doing activities for extended periods of time out in the sun, and it’s also great for going dancing or in circumstances when I won’t have time to touch up my makeup.

TIP: Keep the Eyeliner Last clean by blotting its brush on a clean tissue before putting it back into its original container.
