We deserve leaders who inspire and whose politics will not end up hurting us in the end.  We deserve leaders who we can look up to - not ones that we are smarter than.  We deserve leaders who won’t impose their morals standards on our lives.   Don’t be fooled, Sarah Palin may be a woman but she will be the first to take away your control over your own body.  If she and McCain are elected you can be sure that they will nominate Supreme Court Justices who will overturn Roe v. Wade (the landmark case that makes abortion legal). I fear we will go back to the times, long before we can remember, when women had to suffer through illegal, unsanitary back-alley abortions that left many women injured, scarred, if not dead.  We need progress.  We need to keep our civil liberties - not elect officials who continue to take them away, bit by bit.  Republicans continuously talk about not wanting “big government” but their administrations consistently chip away at our civil rights:   Whether it’s imposing barriers and restrictions to abortions, or lowering due process requirements on information gathering.  I cannot stress how important the upcoming election is for young women across the country.  Please do not be fooled.  I would LOVE to have a woman in the White House but it needs to be the right woman.  One who is prepared, knowledgable and has the best interests of women - not her political party - at heart.  She’s nothing more than a puppet and if you know a woman who has fallen for the Republican Party’s ploy, and thinks that Sarah Palin will be good for women, please educate!!
