M.I.S.S. NYFW: Samantha Pleet SS09, Her Seasons of Wonder

It’s been fun seeing what different ways people come up with presenting their collections. Sure, a runway clad with long, leggy models is always fun and exciting but there is something to be said for taking the models off the runway and creating a fresh and new way to showcase your collection. Samantha Pleet did just that. The SS09 collection was revealed at the Open House Gallery to a select crowd.

The space was empty and stark white. There was something very serene about the setting. People gathered on the lower level of the gallery space to watch the video lookbook of the SS09 collection, Her Seasons of Wonder, projected on three walls. Here’s a short vid of my view from the event.
