In4mation launched their women’s collection last year so it was exciting to see how the line has progressed. We even had the chance to meet the women’s designer, Elska Sandor (pictured below), and she personally walked us through the line. It was a wonderful experience to hear Elska describe the inspiration and tell us about all the design details – there were many! We had the pleasure of seeing Holiday 2008 through Spring 2009. Check out more pics and descriptions of each collection after the jump.
Elska modelling a scarf from the Holiday 2008 collection – the scarf features a heart/crossbone graphic woven into the wool.
The Holiday 2008 collection featured pieces that are comfy and cozy – the kind you’d wear lounging around a cabin in a woods while sipping cocoa by the fireplace. The piece below has quilting reminiscent of upholstery.
Jacquard heart thermals!
Multi-use pieces! The overall collar is detachable so you can wear it as a skirt.
Railroad Denim (my favorite!) with chain detail and chain-stitch embroidery.
For Spring 2009, Elska designed a French Terry series that featured reverse panels (the back of the fabric worn on the front). She chose a palette of muted colors that were not too bright so that they can be worked into existing wardrobes and “not feel like a skittle.”
Yay for sweatpants!
These windbreakers are inspired by the sky. The white windbreaker features a mesh lining with a sunrise print and the black windbreaker features a mesh lining with a night sky print.
Spring also includes a ripstop series in olive an black with geometric print details.
For Spring also look out for rugby stripes and a plaid series.
In4mation is also releasing jewlery featuring their heart razorblade. Here’s the necklace and the hoop earrings are pictured above.
