Watch Documentaries Online For Free!

On Sunday, while I was waiting in line (for 2 hours!) to have breakfast at Mama’s, I saw this phrase spraypainted on the sidewalk: FreeDocumentaries.com. Anything worth spray painting on the sidewalk is worth checking out so I went to the site and I was happy to see that the site actually provided what it said it would – free documentaries! You can watch trailers or the entire films online and there are tons to choose from. The only caveat is that the topics tend to be political but they cover the entire world, not just the U.S.  In a time when there is so much crap TV and we fill our heads with junk, it’s refreshing to watch something where you don’t actually feel your brain dying (I swear I feel brain cells committing suicide when I watch “I Love Money”).

Here’s how they describe their mission:

At freedocumentaries.org we strongly believe that in order to have a true democracy, there has to be a free flow of easily accessible information. Unfortunately, many important perspectives, opinions, and facts never make it to our televisions or cinemas (you can watch movies in our media category if you want to know why).

For this reason we decided to start freedocumentaries.org, a site where anyone with an internet connection can watch a movie to educate themselves or simply explore another perspective whenever they please. These movies aren’t just for education but are also for entertainment.

Hopefully, you’ll find something that you want to learn more about – I know I did.
