In our apocalyptic future, weapons will be wearable, chaos color-coordinated and guns will be designer. But we won’t have to wait for nuclear fallout to be fancy: Peter Gronquist debuted his exhibit last night at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles with weapons of mass consumption on display.
While I’m still on the fence about glamming up artillery used for mass murder (including a Pac-Man grenade!), I do think its worth checking out for the sake of provocation. As for me, I like my semis like I like my cocktail dresses: all-black, compact, and trusty enough to get the job done right the first time. What can I say, Donatella? I’m a minimalist.
