The Bugatti Veyron normally runs a mere $1.25 million – talk about fancy pants car! Well, for the wealthy few who can drop that on a car, Hermes stepped the game up to create an even more exclusive edition that sells for $2.3 million! Only 10-15 of the limited edition cars will be made with the Hermes-designed interior. The collaboration between Bugatti and Hermes is not the first: In the 1920s Émile Hermes and Ettore Bugatti met when Bugatti commissioned a custom suitcase for his new car model.
Here are some details on the design:
Designed by Gabriele Pezzini, the interior features no visible stitches, utilizing the same sewing technique on the leather (bull calf) as on Hermès’ famous saddles. An Hermes wallet designed especially for the car fits into a console, and the trunk comes with an Hermès suitcase already in place. Even the door handles reference the handle of the original suitcase designed for Ettore Bugatti.
Well, at least you get an Hermes wallet and suitcase too!
