Pancho Abalos began his art career in the mid 80’s when cartoons like the Transformers, Robotech and GI Joe graced the television on Saturday mornings. He began sketching what he saw on TV and shaped the vision he now perceives when creating an art piece.
His art speaks for itself; he creates colorful works of art that has won honors at juried shows and have been featured in shows in Hawaii and California. He has been in shows with artists such as Alfie Numeric and Dave Araquel of Beatrock clothing. He’s featured and painted at various shows such as the 2006 Festival of Philippine Arts & Culture, the 2007 and 2006 First Hawaiian Bank Auto Show as a featured artist for Scion of Hawaii, Remy’s on Temple in LA’s Historic Filipino Town, the 2006 Windward Artist’s Guild Annual Juried show at the Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens, and several night clubs around LA and Orange County. In 2008, he’s preparing to make the move to the big city of LA to further pursue his art.
