Car Part Bling! Made by Marne Meisel.

Oh damn! When I first say these hot numbers, I was taken back to my middle school days when Lee, Steve, Christine and I would walk around after school stealing the logos off of cars. Mostly the boys did all the work. My first attempt was on an old Mercedes Benz and ended in the breaking of the emblem…it is a very delicate process! But with these bad boys you don’t have go around vandalizing peoples rides. Made By Marne Meisel started in 2002 while she was still in high school. Her father is an avid collector of the ’78 Cadillac Coupe de Villes. When she discovered an old Cadi emblem in a basement drawer, her creative juices started to flow and her first belt was born! She came into more emblems and she was in business! Her designs are a mix of vintage and new found objects and have been in boutiques in NY and SF.

Currently you can buy her designs at these fine East Coast boutiques:

Lost Shoe-168 Ludlow St. between Houston and Stanton in the LES
Femme Fatale- 578 Driggs Ave (N6 and Driggs, Williamsburg)
Cornflower- 436 East 9th St. between 1st Ave and Ave A
AuH20- 84 E 7th St. between 1st Ave and 2nd Ave
Candy Plum-30-98 36th St in Astoria, Queens style!
Snake Monkey- 202 Avenue A between 12th St and 13th St in Manhattan
Artez’n-444 Atlantic Avenue, Boerum Hill, Brooklyn

If you don’t reside on the East side you can hit her up at her myspace page for personal orders!
