MUJI @ The New York Times Building
620 Eighth Ave
New York, NY 10018
MUJI is finally opening their first flagship store in the Americas, they had signed a lease in The New York Times Building , taking up to approximately 5,000 square feet and is set to open in time for the 2007 holiday season. MUJI derived from the Japanese phrase “mujirushi ryohin which means “no-brand quality goods. MUJI products are known as ‘essential elements of living,’ and are based on a philosophy of simplicity, minimalism and consumer functionality. The flagship store in The New York Times Building will feature distinctive stationery, housewares, furniture, fabrics, clothing and personal accessories. I can’t wait, this is by far the most exciting news for 2007!!
